As the threat of the coronavirus continues to grow globally, Copius Group is adjusting its Health & Safety policies as a precautionary measure to safeguard all employees, contractors, clients and the general public.
If you have been in an area where the Coronavirus is prevalent in the last two weeks, or have been in contact with a person infected with the Coronavirus then Contact your doctor by telephone in the first instance to get advice. Do not go to work or travel for work until you have spoken with your doctor or a relevant medical professional.
If you, or a person you have been in close contact with, has been to one of the below affected areas, please speak to your contact at Copius before committing to work.
If you have been to one of the areas listed below and you have a cold or a fever, you should stay at home, get in touch with your doctor and make sure you have as little contact as possible with others.
Affected Areas:
- China (including: Macau and Hong Kong)
- Singapore
- South Korea
- Iran
- The northern Italian provinces: Lombardy, Veneto, Emiglia Romagna, Piedmont, Aosta Valley, Trentino-South Tyrol, Friuli-Juliano-Venice and Liguria
The first symptoms of COVID-19 can be a fever and flu like symptoms similar to those of the common cold. If the symptoms get worse and you develop muscle pain, shortness of breath, tiredness and a dry cough then contact your doctor immediately.
As a preventative measure you should observe good hygiene at all times to limit the potential spread of the virus including:
- Washing your hands regularly with soap and use hand sanitiser where possible
- Covering your mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze and then dispose of the tissue
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.
