Murchison Removal Project
The Murchison oil field platform is located on the UK Continental Shelf, East of the Shetland Islands and is one of the largest steel jacket platforms in the North Sea. Copius were engaged to provide scaffolding support services for the removal and disposal of both the topsides and jacket structure including flare stacks and accommodation blocks. This was a challenging project and required building over 119 different scaffolds in very difficult weather condition. The project completed without incident 3 weeks ahead of schedule.
